How to set up WordPress hosted with Amazon AWS free

We all want to help people build their great ideas here on POP. What better way to start a hackathon or build an MVP than to set up a free EC2 instance from Amazon with Elastic Block Storage and Relational Data Service for free. We will guide you through a step-by-step guide on how to set up your new Amazon AWS account and provide you with a simple bash script to automatically configure and configure WordPress on your newly created machine. Step 1: Register a domain with POP

This part is easy. Each of our colleagues coding students and hackathon participants (ie,

Step 2: Create a free Amazon AWS account

To start recording the Amazon AWS Free Tier, visit https://aws.amazon.com/free/. This page also describes all the features included for free for one year. Then, Amazon requires you to enter the contact information. You will need a valid address and phone number at this point. Fill in the form fields and click "Create an account and continue".

Now that you have entered your payment information, Amazon also asks you to verify a valid phone number. The number you enter here will be called and a PIN number for verification, so enter a valid number and click "Call Me Now".
